Arrival/Departure/Travel/Directions
Opening Day : Arrive before 3:00 ~ Opening Campfire begins promptly at
3:00 on Sunday afternoon (You will be introduced to the
director and the counselling staff ~ cabin groups will be
announced and then campers are shown to their cabins).
Please do not plan to drop off any children before 3:00p.m. as
there is no-one available to supervise them before that time.
Camps with different starting and ending times.
Closing Day: Closing Campfire begins at 10:30 on Saturday. We will share a
few camp songs, introduce the staff to you and then dismiss
campers to their parents. Please plan to arrive by 11:00 at the
latest to pick up your children as we do not have any staff on
duty after that time ~ there is no one available to supervise your
children.
Transportation: Silver Lake does not make arrangements for camper
transportation. We have a few people who have indicated
that they would be willing to provide carpooling if needed. If
you require a list for your area, please call and request it.
Medications: Any medication should be dropped off with the medic by the parents
before they leave. Please make sure you pick-up any remaining med's
on the last day. Medications are not allowed in the cabins, and must be
dispensed by the nurse. (Puffers and epipens can be in the care of the
counsellor if necessary, but should be checked in first with the medic).
Dietary Restrictions: If you have any special food or beverages for your child, they
should be left with the kitchen assistant (at the registration desk)
before you go.
Merchandise: There is a small amount of Silver Lake merchandise available for
purchase on opening and closing days.
